(KINCARDINE, ON.) – On March 22, 2010 at 2:36 am, the South Bruce OPP responded to a call of a body lying on the street in front of the Chesley Post Office.
Bruce County Ambulance paramedics attended and attempted resuscitation, but unfortunately the female patient was pronounced dead at the South Bruce Grey Health Centre in Chesley.
The Ontario Provincial Police Criminal Investigation Branch under the direction of Detective Inspector Rene Bazinet has been called in to investigate.
A section of 1st Avenue in Chesley has been blocked while police remain at the scene. The cooperation of the public in avoiding the incident area is appreciated.
This incident remains under investigation, more details will be released as factual information becomes available. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.
