(LISTOWEL, ON) While conducting a RIDE check on Wallace Ave. in Listowel at 10:20 p.m. Saturday March 6th, Perth County OPP officers stopped a motorist who had the odour of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.
The driver was given a roadside screening device test. The test indicated that the driver had alcohol in his blood below the .05 mgs of alcohol in 100 ml of blood. However a criminal record check indicated that the male was on probation ordering him abstain from the consumption, possession or purchase of alcoholic beverages.
The 26 year old male Listowel resident was issued an appearance notice ordering him to appear in Listowel criminal court to answer to the charge of “failing to comply with probation orderâ€.
