(Central Huron, ON) On December 28, 2009 at approximately 1:00 am a vehicle was stopped on London Road near Vanastra. While the Huron OPP officer was speaking to the driver, a large quantity of copper pipe was observed inside the vehicle. When detained and questioned, the driver admitted to stealing the piping. The male was arrested for possession of stolen property and was taken to the Huron OPP Detachment for questioning. During a search of the male, a quantity of cannabis marihuana was located.
As a result of the investigation, Jeremy SNELL (36) of Central Huron has been charged with one count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000, one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cannabis Marihuana, one count of Use Plates Not Authorized and one count of Drive Motor Vehicle with No Insurance. He will answer to his charges in the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on February 8, 2010. The owner of the copper piping was notified of the recovery and pickup of his property.
