(Bluewater, ON.) – On November 18th, 2009 members of the Ontario Provincial Police Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, assisted by members of the Huron County OPP and K9 Unit executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant at a residence located on Bronson Line in the Municipality of Bluewater.
Inside the residence, police located a cannabis marihuana grow operation. As a result, police seized a quantity of cannabis marihuana plants worth an estimated street value of $6,250.00. Police also seized 10 firearms. Charged with Production of a Controlled Substance are Jeffrey Brandon (42) and Karen Brandon (41) of Bluewater. Jeffrey Brandon is also charged with numerous firearms offences. Both have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Huron County on December 21, 2009.
