At 1:05 AM on 31 October, a 21 year old Wingham man was observed by police in the middle of Centre street yelling and swearing. Police stopped to determine what was wrong and noticed that the man was intoxicated. The man refused to identify himself to police and was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place. During the arrest, the man tried to get away from police but he was eventually subdued. A search of his person resulted in a small quantity of marijuana being located. The man now faces charges of being Intoxicated in Public, Obstruct Police and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
