(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A Crediton resident is facing several charges after he was stopped by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) this weekend in Exeter.
On Sunday, June 7, 2020 at approximately 11:22 a.m. Huron OPP & Middlesex OPP officers were dispatched to investigate a traffic complaint involving a sport utility vehicle that was being operated in an erratic manner.
A few minutes later Huron OPP officers located the suspect vehicle parked at a gas station in Exeter. Officers approached the vehicle and located the driver sitting in the driver’s seat. Upon speaking with the driver officers had reason to believe the driver had been drinking some alcohol. A roadside screening test was administered and the driver registered a fail.
He was arrested and was subsequently transported to the Lucan OPP Detachment for breath tests. The driver provided two samples of his breath to the qualified intoxilizer technician and both of his samples were found to be above the legal limit.
Further checks on the driver revealed he was failing to comply with court imposed conditions of his bail.
Tyler PFAFF, 34 years of age, from Crediton has been charged with Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus) and Fail to Comply With Release Order – 2 counts.
He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 17, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
