(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have towed vehicles in two separate speeding incidents over this past weekend.
Shortly after 5:00 p.m. on May 2 2020, a vehicle was stopped on Perth Line 86, just east of Listowel, after it was found to be travelling in excess of 135km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.
As a result, Michael BARTLETT, 42, of Milton, has been charged with:
Race a motor vehicle – excessive speed
On May 3 2020, another vehicle was stopped on Highway 23, south of Listowel, just before 5:00 p.m. This vehicle was found to be travelling in excess of 130km/h in a posted 80km/h zone.
As a result, Tyson HESKETH, 18, of North Perth, has been charged with:
Race a motor vehicle – excessive speed
In both incidents, the vehicles were towed from the scene, and a seven day vehicle impoundment and seven day licence suspension have been initiated as per statute.
