(WEST PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have arrested and charged a person for driving while impaired by alcohol.
Just before 9:30 p.m. on August 15 2020, a Perth County OPP officer on patrol observed a vehicle towing a dump type trailer, and the trailer did not have any rear lights. The vehicle was stopped on Perth Line 55, and the driver was showing signs of impairment.
The driver was arrested and brought to a local OPP operations centre for further testing.

Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
No Red Light on Rear of Trailer
Driving Motor Vehicle with Open container of liquor
A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and a 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute.
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charge.
