(GODERICH, ON) – A Goderich man remains in custody on some outstanding charges along with two fresh charges after he was arrested by police last week in Goderich.
Just after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2020 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was patrolling on Hincks Street in Goderich when he observed the accused cycling. The officer was aware the accused was wanted so he was able to get the male stopped and promptly arrested for his outstanding warrants.
A search of the accused found him to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Further, a check on the accused revealed he was currently serving a probation sentence and he was bound by a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
Duncan MACAULEY, 47 years of age, from Goderich has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Methamphetamine and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He remains in custody with a court date scheduled for May 14, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
