(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Investigators from the Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are reaching out to the public in an effort to help solve an arson that took place in Clinton.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Friday, March 27, 2020 Central Huron Fire Department and Huron OPP responded to a house fire located on Rattenbury Street West in Clinton.
The lone occupant of the bungalow was able to escape the fire however the victim did sustain a minor injury from the fire. Additionally, three dogs perished in the fire, two vehicles parked in the laneway were extensively damaged and the home was completely destroyed.
The estimated value of the damages is in excess of $500,000.
The subsequent investigation has revealed three suspects ran out of the victim’s backyard and fled the scene running northbound on North Street North.
Investigators are asking residents and business owners in Clinton to review any possible video security surveillance systems during the early morning hours of Friday, March 27, 2020. Investigators are hopeful your home or business security camera may have captured valuable information that could help with this investigation.
