(MIDDLESEX, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is confirming one uniform member have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
Following the advice of public health authorities, the member is in self-isolation and recovering. We wish them a speedy recovery. Their family and colleagues are in our thoughts.
The OPP member worked at the Huron County Detachment in southwestern Ontario. The member’s names is being withheld to respect their privacy. It is important to note that the individual did not experience symptoms while at work. The OPP was made aware of the diagnosis on April 13.
The OPP remains committed to the health and safety of its members and will continue to make decisions that help us limit the spread of COVID-19 in the communities we serve.
