(MIDDLESEX, ON) – On April 24, 2020 at 04:30 a.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fail to remain collision on HWY 402 at Glendon Drive, located in the Municipality of Strathroy-Caradoc. The suspect vehicle fled the scene and was located a short time later by police where they soon learned that the driver’s ability to operate a motor vehicle was impaired.
The driver was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the London OPP detachment for further tests
As a result of an investigation police have charged Gerald MILLS -age 65- of Georgina, ON with:
CC 320.16(1) Failure to stop after accident
CC 320.13(1) Dangerous operation
CC 320.14(1)(a) Operation while impaired
CC 320.14(1)(b) Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a London court room on June 3, 2020 to speak to the charges.
