(HOWICK, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently on scene of a two-vehicle crash west of Harriston that has resulted in a fatality.
This morning, shortly after 6:30 a.m., Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Wellington County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and Howick Fire Department responded to the crash scene located on Harriston Road (Huron County #87) near Howick-Minto Townline.
The initial investigation indicates two pickup trucks collided head-on.
One driver was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries and one driver died at the scene.
The deceased has been identified as Brandon COX, 24 years of age, from Clifford.
Investigators from the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management & Enforcement (TIME) Team are currently on scene assisting with the collision investigation.
Harriston Road (Huron County #87) is currently closed between Malcolm Line and School Road #7. Motorists are asked to take an alternate route to avoid the collision scene.
