(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A Central Huron resident is facing an Impaired Operation charge and an 80 Plus charge following a traffic stop that took place this past weekend east of Goderich.
On Saturday, May 9, 2020 at approximately 1:40 a.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed the driver of a pickup truck operating his vehicle in an erratic fashion on Huron Road. A traffic stop ensued and while speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had consumed some alcohol and was displaying several signs of impairment.
Consequently the driver was placed under arrest for Impaired Operation and was transported to the Exeter OPP detachment for breath tests. Two samples of breath were provided to the Intoxilizer Technician and both tests were determined to be above the legal limit.
