(NORTH PERTH, ON) – The Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a suspect attended a local financial institution and scammed the bank for approximately $40,000.
On May 21 2020, at approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspect attended the financial institution in the Municipality of North Perth, where they provided identification. The suspect then performed some banking transactions, with a total value of approximately $40,000. It was later determined that the suspect had stolen a person’s identity, and the transactions were found to be fraudulent.
Police are now seeking assistance from the public in identifying the suspect. The male suspect is described as approximately 50 years old, with black and grey hair, and was dressed casually at the time of the offence.
