(BLUEWATER, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged another driver with Racing. That makes three drivers in the last week that will be going to court for speeding in excess of 50 km/h over the speed limit.
On Friday, November 13, 2020 at approximately 1:25 p.m. a Huron OPP officer was conducting RADAR patrols on Airport Line when a sedan was observed travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. The investigating officer utilized a RADAR device and was able to measure the speed of the vehicle at a rate of speed well in excess of 50 km/h over the 80 km/h zone limit. Additionally, the driver failed to stop for a posted stop sign.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver, 30-year-old Jimmy NGUYEN from London was subsequently charged with Racing and Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop. He now has a court date scheduled for January 5, 2021 at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich.
