31 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving – MACDONALD

(TOWN OF MINTO, ON) – On April 2, 2020, at approximately 8:45 a.m. the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated the driver of a motor vehicle on Wellington Road 7 near the First Line for a Highway Traffic Act (HTA) violation.

Police spoke to the driver and determined that they were under the influence of alcohol. A Roadside Screening Device test (ASD) was conducted which resulted in a fail. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.

Logan John Allen MACDONALD, 31-years-old of Alnwick-Haldimond Township has been charged with Impaired Operation – 80 Plus (mg of alcohol per 100 mL of blood) contrary to the Criminal Code. A 90-day Administrative Driver’s Licence Suspension (A.D.L.S.) and 7-day Vehicle Impoundment was initiated as per statute. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario court of justice – Guelph on July 31, 2020 to answer to the charge.
