(HOWICK, ON) – A traffic stop last weekend by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) just outside of Wroxeter has resulted in a Howick resident being charged with Trafficking.
On Sunday, February 23, 2020 at approximately 10:40 p.m. a sedan entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) program that was set up at the intersection of Harriston Road and Howick Street. Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer detected the odour of cannabis coming from inside the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and officers located suspected Oxycodone pills, Cannabis resin and a quantity of cash which led the investigating officer to suspect the accused was trafficking a controlled substance.
Dylan STENNICK, 24 years of age from Howick has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking & Have Care or Control of a Vehicle with Cannabis Readily Available. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for March 23, 2020 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
