Jason O’NEIL – Break & Enter, Etc.

(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 10, 2023, at 8:18 p.m., members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), OPP K9, and Middlesex-London Paramedics Service were dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Dundas Street, east of Fairview Road in Thames Centre, where two occupants were seen fleeing the vehicle into a field.

Multiple officers attended the area at which time one individual was located hiding in a garage at a rural property on Heritage Road. The individual was taken into custody without incident and transported to hospital as a precaution for a minor injury, believed to have been sustained in the collision.  

The second individual, a white male approximately mid-30’s, wearing a light-coloured t-shirt was not located.

The vehicle involved in the collision had previously been reported stolen out of London.

As a result, Jason O’NEIL, a 44-year-old of London has been charged under the Criminal Code with:

·      Break, Enter a place – commit indictable offence

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 – in Canada

·      Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – in Canada

The accused has been held for bail.

The investigation is continuing.
