Stabbing suspect back in custody

A Guelph man arrested after another man was stabbed outside his own home last summer is back in custody.

Approximately 9:20 p.m. June 2, police were called to a residence near Eramosa Road and Speedvale Avenue East. The caller advised two males had attacked her 25-year-old son when he went outside to speak to them.

He sustained lacerations to his abdomen and arm and was transported to a Hamilton trauma centre for treatment. The incident was targeted.

A week later a 27-year-old Guelph man turned himself in to police and faces numerous charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon. He was released on bail, but Monday was rearrested after his bail guarantor revoked. He is scheduled for another bail hearing on Friday.
