(KENORA, ON) – On December 4, 2024, members of the Kenora OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) with the assistance of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 17 East.
Following the stop, two parties were placed under arrest for possession for the purpose of trafficking. As a result of a search, 25.34 grams of fentanyl, 2x 8mg hydromorphone pills and evidence of drug trafficking was seized.
As a result of the investigation the following individuals have been charged:
Julien THERIAULT – 36 year old male from Kenora
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl – Section 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – hydromorphone – Section 4(1) CDSA
Sally KOKOKOPENACE – 26 year old female from Grassy Narrows
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking – fentanyl – Section 5(2) CDSA
- Possession of a Controlled Substance – hydromorphone – Section 4(1) CDSA
All arrested parties have been held in custody pending a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice of Kenora.
