(COUNTY of BRANT, ON) – A member of the County of Brant Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on patrol was alerted to a vehicle on December 13, 2020 at approximately 3:25 a.m. on Brant Road near Governors Road in the County of Brant.
Police determined through investigation that the driver had been drinking alcohol and the driver was arrested.
OPP investigators have charged Bethany CREIGHTON 24-years-old of The County of Brant with the following offences contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada:
- Operation while impaired by alcohol or drug Section 320.14(1)(a)
- Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus Contrary to Section 320.14(1) (b)
The accused will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date to answer to the charges. If convicted, the offender will be subject to the Criminal Code penalties, including a fine or jail time, and a driving prohibition.
