(GODERICH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating the theft of two snowmobiles and a snowmobile trailer from a parking lot in Goderich.
On Sunday March 12, 2023, Huron OPP officers received a report that the snowmobiles and trailer were stolen sometime between 8:00 p.m. – 8:40 p.m. while the owner was grocery shopping at a business on Huron Road in Goderich. The trailer and snowmobiles were connected to the owner’s vehicle in the main parking lot area on the south side of the grocery store. The suspect(s) removed a lock that was affixed to the trailer, then stole the trailer and two machines. The snowmobiles and trailer are described as follows:
- White 2012 Ski doo 600 bearing Ontario licence plate #8AD969, VIN: 2BPSDDCA6CV000496
- White 2012 Ski doo 600 bearing Ontario licence plate #8AD970, VIN: 2BPSDDCAXCV000498
- Silver 1996 Hyland 8×8 open snowmobile trailer bearing Ontario licence plate #X2633L, VIN: 2H9SS1111SB059200
The Huron OPP is seeking the public’s help in identifying the culprit(s) involved in this incident. Any witnesses to the theft are encouraged to contact police.
