(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Traffic Stop for Stunt results in Impaired Charge
On February 26, 2023, at 10:45 p.m., a member of the Middlesex County OPP, while on general patrol on Richmond Street in Middlesex Centre, observed a vehicle travelling well above the posted 60km/h zone.
A traffic stop was initiated at which time it was determined the driver had previously consumed alcohol.
An Approved Screening Device (ASD) was utilized. The driver was arrested and transported to the Middlesex OPP detachment where further tests were administered.
As a result, Amber EADIE, a 27-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and Highway Traffic Act with:
· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
· Drive Motor Vehicle – Perform stunt – Excessive speed
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice to speak to the charges on April 4, 2023.
(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – Collision with Deer results in Charges
On February 25, 2023, at 1:49 a.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to Medway Road in Middlesex Centre, for the report of a car verse deer collision.
As a result of the investigation, Spencer ROWLAND, a 53-year-old of London, has been charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with:
- Operation While Prohibited under the Criminal Code
- Drive motor vehicle – not equipped with ignition interlock device
- Driver fail to surrender licence
The accused has been released from police custody and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice on March 23, 2023, to speak to the charges.
(NORTH MIDDLESEX, ON) – Theft of utility Trailer from Parkhill
On February 24, 2023, at 8:39 a.m., members of the Middlesex County OPP were dispatched to an address on McLeod Street in Parkhill, North Middlesex, for the report of a stolen trailer.
It was determined unknown suspect(s) entered the property, sometime during the overnight hours on February 14, 2023, between 7:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., and proceeded to steal a 2020, black utility trailer.
The investigation is continuing.
