(MORRIS-TURNBERRY TWP, ON) – The Huron Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a North Huron resident with Impaired driving offences following a traffic stop on July 1st, 2023, on Clyde Line in the Township of Morris-Turnberry.
On July 1st, at 2:42 a.m. a Huron OPP officer was patrolling on Clyde Line in Morris-Turnberry when they conducted a traffic stop on a northbound motor vehicle that was travelling much slower than the posted speed limit. In speaking to the driver, the investigating officer determined that the driver had consumed alcohol prior to driving and was subsequently arrested for Impaired Operation.
The individual was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton to provide breath tests before a qualified Intoxilyzer Technician. Suitable breath samples were provided to police which resulted in readings over the legal limit.
David FRANKEN, 55 years of age from North Huron has been charged with:
– Operation while Impaired,
– Operation while Impaired – Over 80.
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 14th, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
