(MIDDLESEX, ON) – On Wednesday December 30, 2020 at 3:55 a.m. members of the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to reports of suspicious persons, attempting to enter a parked motor vehicle on Gore Rd., Thames Centre. Police learned that the suspects were observed fleeing the area in a white Chevrolet Cruze motor vehicle.
Officers patrolled the area and located the suspect vehicle a short time later on Nissouri Rd. and Robin’s Hill Rd., Thames Centre. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle, when the suspect vehicle struck the rear end of a second marked OPP cruiser and fled the scene through the ditch area, before striking a snow plow.
No injuries were reported as a result of this investigation and damaged to the police vehicle and snow plow were minor.
Middlesex OPP are looking for information related to the white Chevrolet Cruze. The vehicle is believed to have suffered severe front end damage as a result of striking the OPP cruiser, ditch and snow plow.
