(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Vanastra resident with Assault with a Weapon following an investigation into a domestic disturbance.
On December 2, 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. Huron OPP officers were called to a residence located on 12th Street in Vanastra to investigate a disturbance that was taking place. The subsequent investigation resulted in officers arresting one of the involved persons for Assault with a Weapon. Further checks on the accused revealed the accused was failing to comply with a court release order and a probation order.
As a result, a 29-year-old from Huron East has been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Failure to Comply with a Release Order and Fail to Comply with Probation Order.
The accused has since been released from custody.
