60 Year Old Arrested For Drunk Driving

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a London resident with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) following a failed roadside test on June 2nd at approximately 9:50 p.m. on London Road south of Exeter, Municipality of South Huron. 

A Huron County OPP officer was patrolling south of Exeter on London Road when they observed a motor vehicle travelling southbound, ahead of the police vehicle. The officer had concerns as the vehicle driver was having difficulty staying in the southbound lane. Police pulled the vehicle over and spoke with the driver which led to the investigating officer conducting a roadside screening device test on the driver. The roadside breath test resulted in a failure and the driver was placed under arrest and taken into custody. 

The accused was then transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for further breath tests. Two samples of breath were supplied to the Intoxilyzer Technician and both tests were found to be over the legal limit. 

Adalberto ZAZUETA-MEDINA, 60 years of age from London has been charged with:

–      Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).

The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.

The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
