(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a South Huron resident with several offences following a report of a neighbour dispute on May 30th, 2023.
Huron County OPP was contacted at 8:18 p.m. by a resident of South of Huron who reported having issues with their neighbour causing excessive noise and operating a motorcycle on the roadway. Police arrived shortly after and located the subject of the complaint at their residence. In speaking to the individual, the investigating officer determined that they had consumed alcohol prior to driving a motorcycle on the roadway and on their property just before 8:00 p.m. The individual was prohibited from driving a motor vehicle and was subsequently arrested for Operation while Prohibited. The accused was read the Approved Screening Device (ASD) demand, requiring a breath sample, to which they refused.
The accused was transported to the Huron OPP detachment in Clinton for processing.
Kyle GILL, 33 years of age from South Huron has been charged with:
– Operation while Prohibited,
– Failure or Refusal to Comply with Demand.
The accused was additionally charged with offences found in the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
The accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for July 31st, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
