(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a Central Huron resident with Impaired Operation – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus) following a single vehicle collision into a tree and a failed roadside test on June 29th, 2023.
On June 29th at 8:19 p.m., Huron County OPP officers, along with members of the Huron County EMS responded to a report of a single vehicle collision into a tree on Londesboro Road in the Municipality of Central Huron. The lone driver was located inside the involved vehicle and was safely removed. The driver received minor injuries and was transported by ambulance to the Clinton Hospital. Police spoke with the driver which led to the investigating officer conducting a roadside screening device test on the driver. The roadside breath test resulted in a failure and the driver was placed under arrest.
The accused provided two suitable breath samples to the Intoxilyzer Technician at the hospital, and both tests exceeded the legal limit.
Bradly HUMMEL, 18 years of age from Central Huron has been charged with:
– Operation While Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 Plus).
The involved vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days, and the accused’ driver’s license was suspended for a period of 90 days.
The accused was released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for August 14th, 2023, at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
